Great Stroke: Sosa Gets 6 Hits Saturday, December 5th , 2048 University of California Golden Bears first baseman Jonathan Sosa really lit up the University of Illinois Fighting Illini with a 6-hit barrage today at Evans Diamond -- a performance that sparked the Golden Bears to a 26-1 triumph. He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes." Jonathan Sosa hit a solo-shot off Ross Ledford in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Bryan Schauman in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. A look at his season totals shows Sosa with 16 home runs, .310 BA, .382 OBP, 72 RBIs and 65 runs scored. |
