Johnson Slams 3 Deep for University of Toronto Sunday, September 27th , 2048 Logan Johnson showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Tar Heels and sparked the Marlies to a 21-1 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at UFCU Disch-Falk Field." For the day, Johnson collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 5 runs and had 8 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," University of Toronto skipper Sal Munoz said. "Logan really put on a show." Logan Johnson hit a two-run home run off Francisco Guerra in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Bobby Franco in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Ted Hurley in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 8th. Johnson is batting .303 with 9 home runs and 33 RBIs this season. |
