Pittsburgh Sweeps into the Division Series Thursday, October 8th , 2048 Micah Boshnjaku said he expected the Wildcard Series to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Pittsburgh Pirates encountered little resistance in sweeping the San Diego Padres, to advance to the Division Series. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Boshnjaku. Pittsburgh won the final game by a 4-1 count and were led in the series by Boshnjaku, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .429 with 1 home runs. He also drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Pittsburgh Pirates will play against the Atlanta Braves in the next round.
