Nelson Shines in 6-0 Gem Saturday, August 22nd , 2048 It wasn't easy but Gavin Nelson made it look that way. Nelson silenced the California Angels, 6-0, in a Texas Rangers triumph at Angel Stadium of Anaheim today. Despite the appearance of dominance, Nelson said later that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 5 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else."
