Houston Hopeless Against Schenn Wednesday, July 15th , 2048 Corbin Schenn of the Oakland Athletics was on fire against the Houston Astros at O.co Coliseum today. He shut them out 8-0 on 3 hits, collecting 9 strikeouts and allowing 2 walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Schenn said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that." This year Schenn has a 12-2 mark in 20 starts with a 3.35 ERA. He has given up 110 hits in 126.1 innings, struck out 120 and issued 34 walks.
