Kirkland and Kats Brawl, League Suspends Them Sunday, December 15th , 2047 After an intense confrontation, both the White Sox Joe Kirkland and the Mariners Frank Kats were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Chicago (WIN)-Seattle (WIN) game. Joe Kirkland will miss 5 games, while Frank Kats was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Joe Kirkland commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Kirkland is hitting at a .176 mark this season. His stats show no home runs, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
