Blake Beguiles Seattle (WIN) Monday, January 6th , 2048 Jamie Blake kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Milwaukee (WIN) Brewers were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the Seattle (WIN) Mariners at Peoria Sports Complex today. The left-handed Blake gave up no runs in his start, permitted 4 hits and had 11 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Blake said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." This year Blake has fashioned a 1-4 mark, 3.96 ERA and pitched 36.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .222 against him and he has logged 37 strikeouts. |
