 The future looks extremely bright for Jerry Sanchez. At the age of 24, many players are still trying to find their way in Appalachian League.
 
 Sanchez has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the National League Most Valuable Player Award.
 
 "I didn't expect to hit .386 this year, that's for sure," the second baseman said.
 
 The Ogden Raptors star also put up a .485 on-base percentage this year, with 214 hits, 33 doubles, 7 triples, 114 home runs, 261 RBIs and 235 runs scored.
 
 He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Brett St. Clair of the Philadelphia (APP) Phillies finished second in voting, while Carlos Gonzalez of the Ogden Raptors finished third.
