Helena Moves on to Conference Series Wednesday, November 11th , 2048 After eliminating the Johnson City Cardinals 4-2 in the Division Series at Howard Johnson Field, the victorious Helena Brewers will now move on to the next round: the Conference Series. Helena beat Johnson City 4-1 in the series. The MVP trophy was awarded to Brewers catcher Curtis Montgomery, who knocked in 2 runs, hit .368 and scored 3 times. "The guys were all chanting 'M-V-P' when I went into the clubhouse," Montgomery said later, with a smile. "It was kind of embarrassing but it feels great to be here." The Conference Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
