Miami (APP)'s Monge Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Saturday, October 24th , 2048 The Miami (APP) Marlins upended the Billings Mustangs at Academia de Prospecto Complex today, thanks in large part to first baseman Freddy Monge, who had a smashing day with the bat, racking up 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His big effort helped propel the Marlins to a 16-2 victory. Freddy Monge hit a solo-shot off Ryan Charles Jr. in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. Monge is presently hitting at a .358 pace with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and has scored 39 times. |
