Rangers Chill Muniz's Hot Streak Thursday, October 15th , 2048 The Texas (APP) Rangers got more than the 6-5 victory at Texas Rangers Complex today -- they also put an end to the 21-game hitting streak of Oakland (APP) Athletics first baseman Alejandro Muniz by holding him without a hit in 4 at-bats. After the game, Muniz seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." To date Muniz has chalked up a .401 average with 44 home runs, driven in 136 runs and scored 116 times. |
