Big Day with Bat: Salas 5-for-6 Sunday, October 11th , 2048 It seemed that Missoula left fielder Danny Salas could do no wrong as the Osprey KO'd the Rockies, 28-1 today. Salas rapped out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Rockies hurlers were throwing. "I think the Osprey were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Grand Junction fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Salas in the postgame press interview. Danny Salas singled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th and doubled in the 9th. This year Salas has hit 45 home runs and posted a .324 batting average. |
