Conference Championship Goes the Distance, State College Prevails Monday, October 26th , 2048 It took a while, but the State College Spikes finally disposed of the Williamsport Crosscutters 3-0 in the series clincher at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Winning the finale gave the Spikes the series, 4-3. They will now advance to the World Series. The Most Valuable Player Award went to State College third baseman Edgar Landim. He batted .333 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 5 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes. |
