					| | Rodriguez Superb Against South Bend Sunday, August 2nd , 2048
It was not a good day at the plate for the South Bend Cubs. They came up empty when it mattered against Fort Wayne TinCaps left-hander David Rodriguez, who scattered 5 hits across 9 innings and held the Cubs scoreless.

"We had 5 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," South Bend manager Tim Tebow said later.

Rodriguez chalked up 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 8-0 TinCaps win.

This year Rodriguez has recorded a 12-5 mark. In 21 starts he has fanned 123 batters in 139.2 innings with a 3.03 ERA.
