 Bobby Schimke went on an explosive hitting spree against the Clinton LumberKings at Fluor Field at the West End today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Greenville Drive to the 8-5 win.
 
 The shortstop finished 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBI.
 
 "It was just one of those days," Schimke said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."
 
 Clinton skipper Vance Cobb said Schimke was "locked-in."
 
 "We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."
 
 Bobby Schimke hit a solo-shot off Steve Miles in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Steve Miles in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Dave Williams in the 8th.
 
 So far on the season Schimke is hitting .290 with 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has 40 hits and played in 45 games.
