					| | Pacheco Selected A's Best Player Sunday, February 23rd , 2048
At the age of 20, Joey Pacheco of the Charlotte Stone Crabs could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2047 was good enough to win the shortstop the A Division Most Valuable Player Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .285 batting average this year, as well as a .395 on-base percentage. He played 40 games and racked up 41 hits, 8 doubles, 6 triples, 7 home runs, 24 RBIs and 30 runs scored.

He received 11 first place votes out of a possible 30. Tamaichi Sasada of the Carolina Mudcats finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while John Evancho of the Lakeland Flying Tigers finished third with 7 first place votes.
