Richards Guns Downs 19 Nationals Thursday, December 10th , 2048 Eric Richards of the High Desert Mavericks put on a pitching clinic today at Stater Bros. Stadium as he struck out 19 Potomac Nationals in a 2-0 victory. Richards was simply magnificent as he held the Nationals to 1 hit. He walked 0. "I felt okay at the beginning," Richards said, "but eventually my fastball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Richards's performance, Mavericks manager Huston Street shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating." |
