High Desert Moves on to Championship Series Sunday, January 26th , 2048 The High Desert Mavericks have eliminated the Carolina Mudcats and are off to the Championship Series. High Desert won the final game by a 5-3 score and thus clinched the series 3-1. "We think this is our year, but we're taking it one game at a time," said Zach Thomason, who was named series MVP. For the series, Thomason hit .500 with a .583 on-base percentage. He drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
