Akron Win Division Championship Saturday, October 10th , 2048 Robby Dann put the Akron RubberDucks on his shoulders as they downed the Birmingham Barons in the Division Championship. Akron won the deciding game by a 3-0 count at Canal Park and wrapped up the series 4-2. Dann played a key role in the victory, as he was named series MVP for his offensive output, which included a .320 batting average with a .370 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 2 RBI and 5 runs scored. "I told myself it was time to step it up and help the team win and I'm glad I was able to do that," he said. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes. |
