Lybrand Fires No-Hitter Against Pensacola Sunday, August 16th , 2048 There was magic on the mound today at Five County Stadium as Columbia Fireflies starter Tyler Lybrand no-hit the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. Lybrand held Pensacola hitters spellbound and helpless in a masterful display of pitching, leading the Fireflies to a 2-0 win. "It was like I was in a dream," Lybrand said afterward. "The ball just went right where I wanted it to." In his mound masterpiece, Lybrand rang up 14 strikeouts and issued no walks. In 18 starts this season Lybrand has chalked up a 4-8 record and a 3.13 ERA. |
