Cordova Goes Long 3 Times
Wednesday, August 12th , 2048
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Esteban Cordova discovered that today at Arvest Ballpark, as he smashed three home runs during the 18-5 Akron RubberDucks win over the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Akron catcher said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Cordova finished the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats and 5 RBIs.
Esteban Cordova singled in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mike Tuck in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Junsuke Abe in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Marcos Cortez in the 7th.
This season Cordova is batting at a .239 clip with 9 home runs and 35 RBIs.
