Sacramento River Cats reliever Adam Ody said he loves to come into the game when the outcome is in jeopardy.
He certainly did a good job of impacting his team's outcomes this season, as he has been named the winner of the 2048 Reliever of the Year for the National League.
"There's no better feeling than running in from the bullpen with the game on the line and your heart pumping," Ody said.
On the season, the Raleigh, North Carolina native had 1 save in 54 relief appearances, 103 strikeouts in 85.2 innings and a record of 4 wins and 3 losses to go with his 1.37 ERA.
He received 17 first place votes out of a possible 30. Robby Poyfair of the Indianapolis Indians finished second in voting with 13 first place votes, while Ken Dewey of the Las Vegas 51s finished third.
