Espinal Shuts Out Pawtucket, 1-0 Monday, August 17th , 2048 Edwin Espinal of the Scranton WB RailRiders shut out the Pawtucket Red Sox, 1-0, on 3 hits. He rang up 11 strikeouts and walked 2. "He's got great stuff and good movement," Pawtucket manager Gary Sanchez said after the game. "He threw a lot of breaking balls. He made adjustments. We just couldn't figure him out today." This season Espinal is 9-and-3 with no saves and a 2.38 ERA. He has given up 117 hits in 158.2 innings with 142 strikeouts. |
