Bate Pitches Sky Sox to Shutout Victory Friday, July 31st , 2048 Cooper Bate of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox toyed with the Oklahoma City Dodgers today, blanking them 6-0 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. He was almost untouchable, baffling them on a 4-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and 1 walk. "I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Bate said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there." This season Bate has compiled a 9-7 record with a 2.82 ERA in 21 starts. |
