At Isotopes Park today, the Albuquerque Isotopes right fielder burned Syracuse pitching, going 5-for-5 in a 8-5 Albuquerque triumph. "When he's on his game," Albuquerque skipper Brent McMinn told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Alfredo de la Cruz doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Cory Jones in the 5th and singled in the 7th. For the season de la Cruz is hitting .295, batted in 37 runs with 9 home runs and 53 runs scored. |
