Behind Hoeye, Columbus Blanks Fresno, 12-0 Thursday, May 14th , 2048 Josh Hoeye kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Columbus Clippers were all smiles after winning 12-0 against the Fresno Grizzlies at Huntington Park today. The right-handed Hoeye gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 8 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Hoeye said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." Season-to-date Hoeye has rung up 7 wins and 1 loss in 9 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.71 and has fanned 60 batters in 73 innings. |
