AL's #1 Player Named Monday, May 4th , 2048 Melvin Gomez is respected by most Salt Lake Bees fans for his no-frills style of play. The 25-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the American League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .464 average (13-for-28) with 1 home run, 6 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Thus far this year Gomez is hitting .333 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored. |
