Barefoot Lifts Reds to 7-3 Win
The Cincinnati Reds stopped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 7-3, behind an impressive performance from Dave Barefoot. The two-time All-Star made life miserable for Arizona pitching. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Matt Johnson earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hits, with 4 walks and 4 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Cincinnati goes to 13-8.

Barefoot had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-2 fastball from Marcus Wolfe, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Reds a 4-2 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Barefoot.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Cincinnati manager Jimmy Silveira II.
