High Desert Win Championship Series
The High Desert Mavericks are one step closer to winning a World Series, and the season came to a close for the Stockton Ports.

High Desert won the Championship Series 4-1, with a 2-0 victory in the deciding game at Stater Bros. Stadium today.

High Desert shortstop Brace Harper was named the MVP of the series, after hitting .412 with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 4 homers, drove in 7 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"I just hope I can keep it up in the World Series," he said.

The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship Series finishes.
