					| Toronto Blue Jays starter Edward Saunders turned in a top-notch performance against the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field. The result was a win for the Blue Jays, 6-1. Saunders picked up the win for Toronto, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The Blue Jays raised their record to 7-7. 
 In the top of the fifth, Toronto second baseman Michael Byrd had a productive at-bat. With  the bases loaded and two out, Byrd stroked a 2-run  single to center. It made the score 6-0, Toronto. For the game, he went 1-3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
 
 "I thought we played a nice game," Byrd told the Toronto News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
