					| Kansas City beat Chicago in a rain-soaked ballgame. 
 The bat of Adam Martin helped the Kansas City Royals top the Chicago White Sox, 5-3. Martin was 2-2 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for Kansas City. Mike Jones closed it out for his 2nd save.
 
 In the top of the second of a scoreless game, Martin hit a 3-run  home run to put his team ahead.
 
 "We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Martin.
 
 Kansas City, with the win, is 9-3.
