Minnesota starter Ted Mosley had a strong outing against the Texas Rangers at Target Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Mosley went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-1. Bill Rondeau earned the save for Minnesota, his 1st of the year.

Bran Stark dealt the Rangers a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Minnesota leading 1-0, Stark, who finished 3rd in the AL in stolen bases with 57 in 2044, hit a 3-1 fastball for a 2-run single.

"I liked his command," said Minnesota manager Jorge G Twins. "Ted was throwing strikes."

With the loss, Texas falls to 6-7.
