Stutzman Stops Portland
Matt Stutzman led the Frisco RoughRiders to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Portland Sea Dogs at Hadlock Field today.

"My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Stutzman recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location."

Stutzman yielded 2 hits and had 9 strikeouts and 3 walks in the standout performance.

"I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Portland manager Triston Casas said. "And that's just about the whole secret to pitching."

On the year Stutzman has worked 113.1 innings with 114 strikeouts en route to a 10-5 record and 3.65 ERA.
