					| The Oakland Athletics defeated the California Angels, 1-0, in American League action at O.co Coliseum. Oakland pitcher Mike Pedigo had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Pedigo, now 10-9. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Elijah Daniels closed the door for Oakland, picking up his 33rd save of the year. 
 Jeff Garofalo, who led the AL in slugging percentage with .639 in 2032, helped out the Oakland cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring  sacrifice fly. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate.
 
 "If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Garofalo. "I just want to win ballgames."
 
 Oakland is in second place in the American League West Division with a record of 84-77.
