Milwaukee turned a good effort from starter Dale Ahernfeld into a win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Miller Park. The final score was 5-2. Travis Southern converted his 5th save in 6 tries. With the win over Pittsburgh, the Brewers improved to 74-85.

With two out in the bottom of the third, Ryan Neal barreled up a fastball from Sam Richardson. The result was a solo home run, putting the Brewers in front, 4-2.

"Winning never gets dull," said Neal.
