					| Number 2000 for Jordan |
					| "It would have been a lot nicer if my 2000th hit had won the game," said Steve Jordan after the Seattle Mariners had been tripped up by the Oakland Athletics, 6-5, spoiling his big day. The Mariners left fielder gained access to the exclusive 2000-hit club by going 1-for-3 in the game played at O.co Coliseum.
"The standing ovation by the fans is not something I will ever forget," Jordan said to the press after the game. "I think even the Athletics fans were cheering me."

Over his career Jordan is batting .288 with 333 home runs and 1144 RBIs. In 1932 games he has delivered 2000 hits, scored 1197 runs, stolen 314 bases and gotten on base at a .364 clip.
