					| Marlins Need Extra Frames to Get Past Diamondbacks |
					| The Miami Marlins stopped the Arizona Diamondbacks, 9-6, at Chase Field. The Marlins got a big game from Adam Durgin, who went 5-6 with 2 doubles and 3 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Tim Barnett earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 7-12. The first-place Diamondbacks have lost 4 consecutive games.
Miami relied on the hitting of Mike Gar to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a bases-clearing triple in the top of the 11th inning to put the Marlins on top, 9-6. For the game, Gar had 2 triples and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We'll savor this win," Gar told the Miami Today, "then get ready for the next game."
