					| Nationals Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Mets, 4-2 |
					| The exploits of catcher Dan Fallon helped the Washington Nationals defeat the New York Mets, 4-2. Fallon went 2-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Reliever Oleg Bahanov picked up the win. His record improves to 4-9. Chris Thurner took the loss. David Sly picked up the save for Washington, his 31st of the year.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Fallon delivered big-time for Washington, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Chris Thurner. The game-changing hit put the Nationals on top, 4-2.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Washington manager Mike Shore.

Washington occupies 4th place in the National League East Division at 64-89.
