					| The California Angels picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, taking down the Oakland Athletics, 4-2. Starting pitcher Jeff Baker was a big reason why. Baker got the win, improving to 16-9. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Baker allowed 2 runs. The first-place Angels have won 6 consecutive games. 
 Preston Deakyne took Hunter Vanderhyden deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run  home run put the Angels on top, 2-0. In all, Deakyne had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
 
 "I felt we were ready to go," said California manager Dakota  Wise. "Our pregame was pretty good."
