					| Kansas City starter Jimmy Silveira IV pitched well against the Minnesota Twins at Kauffman Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Silveira IV got the win, improving to 10-9. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Silveira IV allowed 3 runs. The Royals, at 85-65, sit in third place in the American League Central Division. 
 The Royals got a big hit from third baseman Mikolas Markus. In the bottom of the sixth, Markus smacked a 2-run  double off Minnesota pitcher Inkei Wakamatsu. It was his 18th double of the season. Suddenly, the Royals were ahead, 4-3.
 
 "If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Kansas City manager Chris Stephan.
