					| Mariners Cut Down Athletics, 3-2 |
					| Nick Kirk pitched well, but the Oakland Athletics still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the Seattle Mariners at O.co Coliseum. David Anaya notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 3-2. Earning his 21st save for Seattle was Omar Colunga.
Seattle used the bat of Floyd-William Goof to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Mariners ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"We try to keep the mood light around here," said Goof. "Winning helps."

With the victory, the Mariners upped their record to 75-70.
