					| The Chicago White Sox got a stellar performance from pitcher Xenophon Valvis, who handcuffed the New York offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Yankee Stadium. Valvis went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 10-12.  This win makes it 5 in a row for Chicago. 
 Sidney Pedder hit a 2-run  triple off Tim Catalano in the top of the fifth, which put the White Sox in front, 2-0. Pedder had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 2.
 
 "Every loss hurts," said New York manager Vince Deyzel. "But this was a tough one."
