Reds Need Extra Frames to Get Past Mets
The Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets put on quite a show.

Cincinnati starter Ryan Sobocinski pitched well against the New York Mets at Citi Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 2-1. With the win over New York, the Reds improved to 74-67.

Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Mike Alm to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Reds ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Sobocinski called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
