					| Cubs Sneak Past Phillies, 5-4 |
					| The Chicago Cubs had to overcome a big game from Philadelphia designated hitter Quintin Parker to leave Citizens Bank Park with a victory. And they did, winning 5-4. Parker went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. The win was credited to Randy Budgell in relief. His record improves to 9-6. Brian Thomas took the loss. Earning his 24th save of the year was George Poirier.
Chicago used the clutch hitting of Josh Kalman to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to give the Cubs the lead, 5-4. For the game, Kalman had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Kalman.

The win puts Chicago at 69-67 this season.
