Royals Get Past Boston for 4-3 Win
Kansas City and Boston duked it out and the Royals came out victorious.

The Boston Red Sox got a superb performance from pitcher Justin Whitesack. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Kansas City. The Royals won the game, 4-3. Whitesack threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 runs. Kansas City reliever Chris Eaker was the winner. His record is now 8-1. The losing pitcher was Jaime Dunning. Asa Hahn earned his 22nd save in 26 tries.

Kansas City used the timely hitting of Manny Estrada to capture the win. The first baseman socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Royals ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Estrada said.

Kansas City has now won 3 in a row.
