					| Oakland starter Corbin Schenn had a strong outing against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. Schenn picked up the win for Oakland, going 6.2 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 17-4. With the victory, the Athletics upped their record to 69-65. 
 Sakae Kasahara, the 31-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Kasahara contributed a run-scoring  single in the top of the fifth inning to put Oakland up, 1-0.
 
 "Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Schenn told the Oakland Daily.
