					| With first baseman Jack Henningar leading the charge, the San Francisco Giants defeated the Houston Astros, 8-5, at AT&T Park. Henningar, who finished 2nd in the NL in on-base percentage with .444 in 2044, was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Randy Johnson Jr. picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 3-2. Andrew Kindig earned his 25th save in 28 chances. 
 The Giants got a big at-bat from right fielder Lucan Esini. For the game, Esini went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run  double. His 11th double of the season gave San Francisco a 2-1 lead.
