Led by Miguel Diaz, the Minnesota Twins downed the California Angels, 8-4. Diaz belted 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Twins. Matt Lundy came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Minnesota has now won 4 in a row.

Minnesota won the game in the bottom of the 12th inning. With one out and Riichi Yamashita on the mound for California, second baseman Alex Sandoval hit a dramatic grand slam home run, bringing Twins fans to their feet.
