					| Nationals Knock Off Dodgers, 7-5 |
					| The Washington Nationals overcame a good performance by Los Angeles third baseman Shane Marcum to knock off Los Angeles, 7-5, at Nationals Park. Marcum went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Anass Rhammar got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. David Sly picked up the save, his 30th.
The Nationals got an important contribution from third baseman Darren McCarty Jr., who in the bottom of the second hit a 2-1 fastball into right for a 2-run double. It was his 26th double of the season and put the Nationals ahead, 3-0.

"It's good to win," McCarty Jr. told the Washington Observer. "I like to have fun doing it."

Washington is now 54-73, Los Angeles 60-69.
