Citi Field was rocking after an exciting Mets win.

The Miami Marlins got a superb performance from pitcher Sean Geer, but the New York Mets still won the game, 4-3. Geer threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. New York reliever Chris Thurner picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Chris Funderburg was saddled with the loss.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Marlins allowed the Mets to score the winning run.

"We've got great fans," said Perrolas. "I hope they got what they came for."

The Mets improve their record to 66-62 with the win over Miami.
